One of my students told me that the Kitaura bathhouse is closed. Keiko wasn't so sure.

These yellowtail became news. The next day, we saw an article in the Yukan Daily (Nobeoka newspaper).
We just missed getting our picture in the paper.

These yellowtail sell for over four-hundred dollars each.

So far, this is my favorite view in Japan. I''ve been here since 1989.

I see that my beard comes out as "frosted." So, time fades away.

The fee for the ferry, one way, is 400 yen.

Those guys fish on that rock all day long.

We took this ferry to Shima No Ura, but there were no taxis in sight. We were offered
bicycles, orange in color, but we passed on using them. We immediately took the ferry back to shore. However,
on the ferry, I talked to some locals and they told me that the walk from the ferry dock is only about ten minutes.
So, we missed out on some good traveling, I think.
